Cause For Celebration: Blake Leeper

As part of our Cause for Celebration series presented by PNC, we are highlighting the triumphs of athletes with disabilities who have reshaped sport through perseverance, speed, and exceptional talent. This week, we celebrate Blake Leeper.

Born without lower legs due to a congenital condition, Blake defied expectations from an early age, turning to track and field and pushing himself to become one of the fastest sprinters in Paralympic history. A multiple Paralympic medalist in the 200 m and 400 m, he has stood on the podium with silver and bronze medals and has set world and American records in T43/T44 sprint events.

Blake’s journey has been marked by relentless training, fierce competition, and an unshakeable belief that disability does not define ability. His story — from early struggles to international success and his advocacy for greater recognition and inclusion in elite sport — continues to inspire athletes everywhere.
