The Scholastic Challenge is a fun way for students to get active, celebrate school pride, and connect with classmates, teachers, and friends. It’s all about movement, wellness, and community- show off your team, cheer on others, and make memories that last beyond the 4-Mile Run!

How It Works

  1. Sign Up: Register as an individual or create a team for the 4-Mile race. There is no limit to how many individuals can race on a team.

  2. Choose Your Division: Junior High girls, Junior High girls, High School girls, and High School boys divisions are available. (Athletes who have graduated 8th grade may choose to compete in either the Junior High or High School division. Athletes graduating as seniors in May 2026 are eligible to compete in the High School division.)

  3. Team Names: Teams are encouraged to use their schools mascot as their team name.

  4. Automatic Discount: Special $20 pricing to 18 & under is automatically applied at checkout. (Add in birthdate during registration process to receive discounted price at end step).

  5. Win Big: A trophy is awarded to the top boys & girls team in each division.

  6. Support Your Program: Winning teams in each division earn $500 for their school’s cross country program.

  7. Team Structure: Teams should be from the same school for eligibility.

  8. Scoring: The top five finishing times (chip time) from each team are added together, and the lowest total time wins.

Note: If a team is made up of multiple schools, one school must be designated to receive the prize money.
