Cause for Celebration: Susannah Scaroni

As part of our Cause for Celebration series presented by PNC, we are highlighting the triumphs of athletes with disabilities who continue to redefine endurance sport. This week, we celebrate Susannah Scaroni.

We were lucky enough to watch Susannah race right here in Peoria at the 2025 Steamboat Classic, where she took 1st place in the 4 Mile wheelchair division with an incredible 14:50 finish.

A Paralympic gold medalist and one of the world’s top wheelchair racers, Susannah has also claimed major marathon victories in Chicago and New York City, along with multiple Paralympic medals.

Today, we celebrate a champion whose speed, determination, and achievements continue to inspire athletes everywhere.
