Cause for Celebration: Chris Waddell

As part of our Cause for Celebration series presented by PNC, we are highlighting the triumphs of athletes with disabilities who continue to redefine excellence in sport. This week, we celebrate Chris Waddell.

Chris Waddell has never been one to accept limits. A 13-time Paralympic medalist, he dominated the slopes as one of the greatest sit-skiers in history before taking on an entirely new challenge, becoming the first nearly unassisted paraplegic to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro using a hand-powered climbing device.

Today, we celebrate an athlete who has spent his life proving that the biggest barriers are often the ones we place on ourselves!
